THE TRAVELING PASTOR WALTER SMITH
In 1988, he surrendered his life to Christ and that began a journey of change after attending a service at St. Matthews church in Williamstown NJ. After serving at the church for some years, he left the area, relocated, and began worshipping at First Baptist church of Okeola in Pennsylvania. While in Pennsylvania, he met and married his wife, and they have three beautiful children together. Soon after, they relocated to the Midwest. There, they attended several churches in Wisconsin and while at one, Holy Redeemer Church of God In Christ, he felt the call to become a minister but did not answer the call. Several years later in 2003, while worshipping at Calvary Baptist in one of the suburbs in Illinois he became a licensed minister. In 2006, while serving at Sauk Village Bible Church in Illinois, he became an ordained minister and since that time has been worshipping and serving there. Before retiring, he felt the call of the Lord again urging him to do something to help unite the body of Christ, and so the Traveling Pastor Ministry began. During the time of traveling and relocating, he and his wife have worshipped in various churches in several states with several of God’s people from diverse backgrounds and various denominations. His mission is to help unify the body of Christ by providing a platform for Ministers and Pastors to offer teachings to edify, encourage and challenge God’s people.
